About - NuRide Partnership
About the MassDOT/NuRide Partnership:
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT)has partnered with NuRide, the nation’s largest commuter rewards program, to encourage healthier and more sustainable modes of travel while reducing traffic and emissions throughout the Commonwealth. The NuRide service is available free to anyone who lives or works in Massachusetts.
MassDOT’s partnership with NuRide supports GreenDOT, a comprehensive environmental responsibility and sustainability initiative of MassDOT. GreenDOT calls for MassDOT to incorporate sustainability into all of its activities, from strategic planning to project design and construction to system operation, and is driven by three primary goals: reduce greenhouse gas emissions; promote the healthy transportation options of walking, bicycling and public transit; and support for smart growth development. NuRide is offered by MassDOT through MassRIDES, the statewide travel options program, and MassCommute, the statewide coalition of Transportation Management Associations.
NuRide is the nation’s largest rewards program for individuals who take greener trips -- walking, biking, carpooling, vanpooling, public transportation, or even telecommuting. NuRide is a free service and is easy to use and is supported by governments, businesses, and sponsors.
