The 2017 Massachusetts Excellence in Commuter Options (ECO) Awards

Wednesday, April 12th at Fenway Park

The Massachusetts ECO Awards are a celebration of the exemplary contributions Massachusetts employers and colleges/universities have made toward encouraging and supporting employees who use green, sustainable and healthy transportation options in the Commonwealth. Employers make a difference by encouraging employees to travel to work by public transit, bicycling, walking and through the promotion of carpools and vanpools.

Who is invited?

The ECO Awards are open to any Massachusetts employer who is a MassRIDES Employer Partner and/or TMA Member Company. Each member must complete an annual questionnaire identifying the current sustainable commuter option programs their worksite offers to its employees.

What awards will be presented?

Pacesetter, Leader, and Pinnacle Awards are distributed every year. The awards are based on the amount of programming companies offer at their worksites to encourage green commuting amongst employees. To qualify for an award, a representative from each participating company must complete the year’s survey and the point value will total to the award level:

Click here for more information on each of the Pacesetter, Leader, and Pinnacle awards.

Additionally, we encourage employees to nominate their companies for a Spotlight Award, which will recognize sustainable commuter transportation programs implemented by employers throughout Massachusetts.
